Jay L. Silverberg

Jay L. Silverberg has been an attorney for more than 35 years.  He started as a corporate lawyer in “Big Law”. Before founding Silverberg Law Firm LLC, he was a partner in an Am. Law 200 firm. His practice has included an incredible variety of fascinating and challenging matters, including corporate transactions, commercial litigation, divorce, and family litigation, bankruptcy and restructuring, real estate, employment matters, banking and finance matters, securities related matters, intellectual property, partnerships, capital raises, start-ups, and countless other issues. Jay has spoken at such prestigious forums as the American Bankruptcy Institute, the New York Institute of Credit, Fordham Law School, and the New York City Bar Association.

Jay is also a highly trained mediator. Having a broad- based knowledge of business and bankruptcy issues enhances his ability to effectively mediate civil and business disputes. He provides civil mediation services in New Jersey and New York, and divorce and family mediation services in New Jersey. Mr. Silverberg has completed: (i) Commercial Mediation Training, which is approved under Part 146 of the New York Rules of the Chief Administrative Judge, and (ii) New York Advanced Commercial Mediation training, which together provide the training required for service on the Commercial Division ADR roster. In addition, Mr. Silverberg actively participates the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators, which is New Jersey’s largest mediation group and is completing the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators Divorce Mediation Training and Civil Mediation Training. As an active New Jersey mediator, he volunteers as a settlement mediator at Superior Court in Middlesex County.
